Wonderful weather - Coffee and cakes in the garden

At last the sun was shining while we gathered in my garden to enjoy cups of tea, coffee and delicious home-made cakes. Mary Aylott a jewellery designer displayed some of her creations, much to the delight of the ladies who couldn't resist a purchase or two. Funds were raised to buy Mosquito nets for the little children of Chitemo and Nyhinila villages. Not only a most enjoyable morning but also a very worthwhile outcome. A big thank you to the ladies and the two gentlemen who attended.

All Saints church - Service Tanzanian style - Sunday 2 June 2013

As the congregation walked into church prior to the service they were welcomed with Tanzanian music. Songs were being sung by a choir, Upendo Kwaya, from All Saints Cathedral, Mpwapwa, Tanzania. What a difference from the regular organ music. Rev Canon Yolande dressed Tanzanian style including the big hoop Maasai earrings. The Lords Prayer was said in Swahili and English. After the service African coffee, tea and biscotti biscuits were served and funds were raised towards buying mosquito nets for the children of Chitemo and Nyhinila villagers. Thank you All Saints, Orpington.
